Kim Foy, Legal Intern

Kim Foy is currently in her third year at the University of San Diego School of law where she is focusing on environmental and international law. Passionate about improving her home town of San Diego, Kim has interned at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office Environmental Division with a focus on improving land use and environmental sustainability. She has also interned at Lawyers for Clean Water, working primarily on reducing the pollutants in storm water in the LA and Orange County areas. At Coastkeeper, Kim is continuing to pursue her interests in issues including environmental law, water quality, and sustainability. Kim holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. She plans to graduate from law school in May of 2008.

 

Michael Mangini, Legal Intern

Michael Mangini is currently in his second year at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. He is committed to preserving the water quality in San Diego County, and in addition to being a legal intern at San Diego Coastkeeper, he participates in environmental cleanup projects with Volunteer San Diego. Through Coastkeeper, Michael has undertaken projects in municipal waste discharge compliance and marine reserve research. Michael holds a B.A. degree in sociology and criminal justice from the University of Connecticut. He plans to graduate from law school in May of 2009.

 

Michael Kirkland, Legal Intern

Michael Kirkland is currently in his second year at California Western School of Law where he is focusing on environmental and property law. At Coastkeeper, Michael is working on storm water issues in San Diego County. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. He plans to graduate from law school in May 2009.
