Angelina Callahan, Legal Intern
Angelina Callahan is the president of the Environmental Law Society at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she is a second year student. Angelina received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Angelina enjoys being in the National Parks and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law possibly with the NPS. At Coastkeeper, Angelina is currently working on the Shipyard Sediment Clean Up and the Escondido Stormwater Audit.
Rachel Dorfman, Legal Intern
Rachel Dorfman is currently a second year student at the University of San Diego School of Law where she is pursuing her interests in environmental law. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in biology and a minor in anthropology. Having studied marine and conservation biology, Rachel is passionate about protecting the quality of the world's oceans. Also a dedicated surfer, she is president of the newly formed Surf Law Society at the University of San Diego. At Coastkeeper, Rachel is currently working on wastewater management and other water quality issues.
Sarah Krejca, Legal Intern
Sarah Krejca is currently in her second year of law school at the University of San Diego where she is focusing on environmental law. Prior to law school, Sarah spent a summer studying wildlife biology and conservation in Nairobi, Kenya. She worked in the Commissary and Nutrition Department of the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago and with the United States Department of Agriculture in Los Angeles as a Plant Protection and Quarantine Officer. At Coastkeeper, Sarah is looking forward to working on water reuse issues, stormwater audits and expanding her knowledge of environmental advocacy and litigation. Sarah holds a B.S. degree in Biology with a focus on Ecology, Ethology and Evolution from the University of Illinois.
Cristen Mendoza, Legal Intern
Cristen Mendoza is a third year student at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Prior to law school, Cristen worked as a naturalist guide in a tidal wetland. An enthusiastic advocate of marine habitat and wetland conservation, Cristen served as a docent at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and as a volunteer for Coastkeeper’s citizen water monitoring program. At Coastkeeper, Cristen is currently working on assessing coastal water quality and wildlife conservation efforts. Cristen holds a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University.
