Dave Purinton, Development Coordinator

Dave Purinton joined San Diego Coastkeeper in April, 2008, as the Development Coordinator to secure donations from foundations, corporations, government and individual sources. Dave also helps to coordinate the annual Ocean Gala fundraiser, other fundraising events and database management.
Born and raised in Huntington Beach, Dave grew up surfing and lifeguarding the Southern California coast. He moved to San Diego to attend Point Loma Nazarene University where he graduated with a B.A. in Managerial and Organizational Communications in 2005. Since then, he worked for a national bank as a small-business banker but felt compelled to work for the Coastkeeper where he felt his values were more closely aligned.
