World Water Monitoring Day 2006

In partnership with the members of the San Diego Citizen Watershed Monitoring Consortium, San Diego Coastkeeper launched the 2006 edition of World Water Monitoring Day in the region on October 13th.

11th Anniversary Ocean Gala

More than 300 San Diegans joined together on Saturday at the historic Hotel Del Coronado to celebrate our majestic ocean and learn about Coastkeeper’s efforts to protect local waterways.

22nd Annual - Coastal Cleanup Day 2006
September 16th, 2006

This year’s California Coastal Cleanup Day in San Diego County dramatically exceeded goals, as 5,850 volunteers participated in the event at 63 coastal and inland sites. These dedicated volunteers removed 179,411 pounds of trash and 17,585 pounds of recyclables from the waterways and beaches throughout San Diego County from Fallbrook all the way down to Tijuana.

Coastal Snapshot Day
May 13th, 2006

Snapshot Day was a great opportunity to get outside and visit local streams and drainages while learning about non-point source pollution and other water quality issues in your area.
