Friday, November 30th, 1pm
The John Butler Trio (JBT), and Brett Dennen, will play at our beach cleanup as part of the Good Excuse to Get Involved Campaign on Friday, November 30th at 1pm, in Ocean Beach with the beach cleanup to follow from 2-4pm. This event is a partnership between JBT, CLIF Bar
through the CLIF Green Notes Program
to provide education, tools and incentive for music fans and artists to reduce their environmental impact, adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and take positive environmental action. CLIF Bar and their Green Notes Program aims to show that simple changes and collective action can have a dramatic impact – without sacrificing the things we enjoy…like live music.
Come out and help keep our local beaches clean, while getting to enjoy some amazing sounds from John Butler and Brett Dennen and learn first hand how these two musicians are taking steps to lighten their environmental footprint. The event will take place at Ocean Beach Park in the grassy park area across the parking lot from the beach. Click here for a map. San Diego Coastkeeper will host and informational booth, along with their beach clean partners Surfrider Foundation. There will be a raffle after the cleanup is over with some great raffle prizes, including a sustainable guitar and some tickets for the concert that night. In addition, that evening Coastkeeper will host a booth at the John Butler Trio concert at 4th and B in downtown San Diego.
