San Diego Coastkeeper has a variety of internship positions open at this time. All of the interns at Coastkeeper get hands-on experience, developing skills for future careers in the non-profit or for-profit sectors. Our internship positions have flexible hours based on your school/work schedules. All of these positions are non-paid.

Legal Intern Program
Through the Law & Policy Clinic, interns have an opportunity to assist with oversight of past settlement agreements and judgments to ensure full compliance with the law, help develop and pursue new cases, and to advocate in the regulatory and legislative arenas for policies that will enhance protection of our waters before resort to litigation is necessary. Outreach Internship
Gain valuable experience educating and reaching out to local communities in San Diego. Coastkeeper is looking for four dedicated, quick learning, and knowledgeable interns to participate in targeted pollution prevention programs, act as the voice for Coastkeeper at outreach events, and assist with conducting beach cleanups throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will:
San Diego Coastkeeper is currently seeking interns interested in making a six month commitment engaging in activities such as speaking at outreach events, educating the community about waterway pollution prevention, and assisting with beach cleanups. Any prior knowledge and experience is valuable, but not a requirement, as all interns will be trained.
